Specifying, Discovering, and Monitoring Service Flows: Making Web Services Process-Aware
نویسنده
چکیده
BPEL has emerged as the de-facto standard for implementing processes based on web services while formal languages like Petri nets have been proposed as an “academic response” allowing for all kinds of analysis. However, both are rather procedural and this does not fit well with the autonomous nature of services. Therefore, we propose DecSerFlow as a Declarative Service Flow Language. Moreover, we link this language to process mining where we focus on process discovery and conformance testing. This makes it possible to uncover processes emerging in a service-oriented architecture. Moreover, it can be used to expose services that do not follow the rules of the game.

Specifying and Monitoring Service Flows: Making Web Services Process-Aware
BPEL has emerged as the de-facto standard for implementing processes based on web services while formal languages like Petri nets have been proposed as an “academic response” allowing for all kinds of analysis. Although languages such as BPEL and Petri nets can be used to describe service flows, they both tend to “overspecify” the process and this does not fit well with the autonomous nature of...

متن کاملAutomatic QoS-aware Web Services Composition based on Set-Cover Problem
By definition, web-services composition works on developing merely optimum coordination among a number of available web-services to provide a new composed web-service intended to satisfy some users requirements for which a single web service is not (good) enough. In this article, the formulation of the automatic web-services composition is proposed as several set-cover problems and an approxima...
متن کاملQoS-based Web Service Recommendation using Popular-dependent Collaborative Filtering
Since, most of the organizations present their services electronically, the number of functionally-equivalent web services is increasing as well as the number of users that employ those web services. Consequently, plenty of information is generated by the users and the web services that lead to the users be in trouble in finding their appropriate web services. Therefore, it is required to provi...
متن کاملDiscovering Semantic Web Services with Process Specifications
Service discovery is one of the crucial issues for service-oriented architectural model. Recently the trend is towards semantic discovery by which semantic descriptions are the basis for service matchmaking instead of simple search based on service attributes. OWL-S is a widely adopted semantic specification for Web Services which comprises three profiles. Among those, process model is the prof...
